Where could I work with a Child Welfare certificate?

A child welfare certificate provides BSW students with applied knowledge and skills for working with children and families.

To receive the certificate, students must satisfactorily complete all core course work required for the BSW degree in addition to:

  1. Two child welfare electives (SWK 323: Child Welfare Services and SWK 324: Topics in Child Welfare)
  2. Successful completion of the social work field practicum during the senior year in a pre-approved agency that focuses on Child Welfare.
