Opportunities for student organizing include the Social Work Club, the Phi Alpha Honor Society and numerous events throughout the year sponsored by the School of Social Work and these student organizations. Students are encouraged to become involved through frequent announcements, mailings, and informal contact. Students also are made aware of these organizations through the School's web site.
Departmental Honors in Social Work requires 12 hours of honors credits in Social Work. Any major course may be upgraded to an honors course. Please visit the Honors Program Web site to learn how to join the Honors Program and opportunities for honors students.
The Social Work club is open to all students, regardless of major. Click here to find out what the social work club does for general information on the club. The Baccalaureate Social Work Program also has a local chapter of the national social work student honor society, Phi Alpha.
