Each of the forms and materials below are required components of the BSW Program Application:

  The 25 service hour requirement is designed to provide students with a sense of what the profession has to offer before they apply for admission to the major. A minimum of 25 hours of approved and verified service must be completed post high school and within two years of admission to the program. The list of appropriate local volunteer opportunities can serve as a guide to appropriate experiences either in Bloomington/Normal or in other communities.  Note that your work must be with the recipients of the agency in which you work; clerical activities such as filing, answering phones, etc. will not be accepted.  Please contact the Director of Admissions and Recruitment with any questions concerning the appropriateness of a specific opportunity.
